Mark,
I sent the completed manuscript to Manning Publications last week. They are
currently reviewing it and will presumably set the publication date shortly.
I think it has turned out pretty well: 350 pages++ and over 30,000 lines of
example source code. Sorry everyone for all the delays... it has been hard
to juggle the day job (J2EE) with writing. Too much extreme programming and
not enough extreme writing! ;-)
Manning publishes eBooks for most of its titles (PDFs), so I hope they can
turn out an electronic version relatively soon. The cost of the eBook is
refundable against the price of the print version when it becomes available.
The source code will be distributed under GPL so I hope it will form a good
addition to a community Java 3D code repository, such as on j3d.org. I will
also distribute the Ant build scripts for the code as well as Javadoc.
Sincerely,
Daniel Selman
