Dear Members,

I'd like to announce a project, on wich i have worked for a 3/4 year at
the University of Marburg / germany. It uses Java3D to visualize the
relational algebra - a elementary model of relational databases as it
is taught in Database courses at universities.
There is a DB-functionality-package lying underneath, so the
visualization does not imitate DB-behavior, it really does what you
see. You can build a binary-tree of DB-operators and watch the data
flying from one to another in animations, when a query is performed.
But I don't want to tell to much about the project at this place. If
you are interessted, you can find more information at the VisualXXL-
project website:
http://www.mathematik.uni-marburg.de/~wirsam/xxl/

Of course i would appreciate your comments/critic on the project and
the web-documentation. If you know any Database-People who might be
interessted in VisualXXL please tell them.

Thanks Wido
