Java3D use the JDK awt event, it is up to JDK to use
win32 event or DirectInput.

For blocking input device the device will sample every frame.

For non-blocking input device the sampling time is 5ms by
default, this time can be changed using

java -Dj3d.deviceSampleTime=t yourapplication

where t is the time in ms.
