Could you dynamically change the surface texture dynamically (sort of a Java
based slideshow on the surfaces of shapes)? This would be a really cool
thing... anybody have an idea how to implement it and how to do it WITHOUT
the applet hosing over IE 6.0 when the applet is unloaded and destroyed?

That's a not so subtle hint that says the Java plugin still has mega issues
with several browsers (IE 6.0, Netscape under Linux and Windows).
