Hello, Spazz 3D is what I use to touch up Ray Dream Studio produced VRML 97 files. Spazz 3D is at version 2.4 and no longer supported but probably can be purchased if you like it after using the 30 day trial version.
There is also the Shout 3D authoring tool. This is the successor to Spazz 3D. Another option is to get Amapi 3D 6.0. Amapi imports a large number of formats including IGES and STL which are common CAD formats. Then export to VRML 97 from within Amapi. The Amapi developers, TGS / Eovia make Inventor libraries so they understand VRML. John F.
