Need Help desperately since I have completely lost all means of
running my Java3D project...
This is what happened...
1) I downloaded j2sdk1.4.0-beta3 and installed it. The installation went
fine and a default subdirectory named "c:\j2sdk1.4.0-beta3" was chosen
the installer automatically.
2) when I try to install java3d-1_3-beta1-win-opengl-sdk.exe on top of the
J2SE version above, I keep getting a "launchanyware error" from the
installer w/ a message as follows:
" can't launch executable"
" couldn't find a suitable JVM "
" try re-installing the JVM "
Note: My J2SE V1.4.0-beta3 does indeed work on my PC and I have checked
it out with several non-Java3D applications
3) Giving up on Java3D-1-3-beta1, I tried installing Java3D-1_2_1.
It installed fine, but did not put any files in the c:\jdk1.4 dir.
Actually, I can't even find where it dumped all its files.
Question: Is Java3D-1-3-beta1 compatible with J2SEV1.4.0-Beta3 ?
The combo that I had previously - j2se1.3 w/ jav3d1.2.1 - worked
absolutely without any problems.
Please help asap...
