Unfortunately,
java3d-1_3-beta1-win-opengl-sdk.exe cannot install J3D on my computer.
Here's the error message:
"Can't launch executable. Could not find a suitable Java Virtual Machine on
your system"
The previous version installer java3d-1_2_1_03-win32-opengl-sdk.exe works
just fine. I have jdk1.3.1 installed correctly at C:\ and my path does
include C:\jdk1.3.1\bin. The J3D installer must be blind not to be able to
find a JVM. I even tried running it from the following script:
set path=C:\jdk1.3.1\bin
java3d-1_3-beta1-win-opengl-sdk.exe
Yes, I did try uninstalling jdk1.3.1 and reinstalling it (to no effect). I
wish someone could just make the components (the dlls and jars) of the new
J3D version available for download so that I could install them manually.
Just put them into a jar file, for instance.
