Rotations in Java3D are (usually) expressed as Quaternions. Basically
that means to define an axis and then the amount of rotation around that
axis. So, say you want to define the rotation axis for a box to be
between the two corners:

 +Y
 ^
 |
 +-> +X

          /
  +------+
  |     /|
  |    / |
  |   /  |
  |  /   |
  | /    |
  |/     |
  +------+
 /

You need to define an axis as (1 1 0). Remember that this axis is a
vector too.
