Just done a stats run on the two sites and I thought I'd let everyone know how things are going. Naturally since moving to the new site hosted by ikestrel.com things have gone ahead in huge bounds.
Here's a rough summary: Main site: Oct - 11K visits (377 per day) Nov - 14K visits (472 per day) Dec - 11K visits (435 per day) (to date) Code site: Oct - 1K visits (36 per day) Nov - 1K6 visits (53 per day) Dec - 1K3 visits (49 per day) (to date) So, if you want to see your name up in lights and get known to the thousands of other j3d programmers out there, feel free to contribute tutorials, tips, links, code and more to j3d.org. We can only become as good as the content. Many people have promised stuff, but few deliver and I don't really have time to chase things up. Please, if you get the itch or you write some tricky demo code - toss together a page of two of explanation and send it to us (or me directly). Don't worry if you can't write - that's what I'm here for. I can massage your scribbles into something readable. Right now, there are a couple of good regular contributors. Most of all I'd like to thank Paul Swazlowski for swelling the ranks of the code repository tremendously in the recent months. Plenty of useful stuff, and more to come that hasn't been committed yet! -- Justin Couch http://www.vlc.com.au/~justin/ Freelance Java Consultant http://www.yumetech.com/ Author, Java 3D FAQ Maintainer http://www.j3d.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Humanism is dead. Animals think, feel; so do machines now. Neither man nor woman is the measure of all things. Every organism processes data according to its domain, its environment; you, with all your brains, would be useless in a mouse's universe..." - Greg Bear, Slant ------------------------------------------------------------------- =========================================================================== To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff JAVA3D-INTEREST".
