Check "BrowserLauncher"
(http://www.stanford.edu/~ejalbert/software/BrowserLauncher/). I'm using it
and it seems to work.

Subject: [JAVA3D] opening browser window from w/in java application

Hi:

I apologize if this question is off-topic but I am not sure where to
ask
...

I'd like to put my java 2d/3d program documentation on the web. I'd
like the java application itself to open a browser window displaying the web
documentation when the user clicks on a help button.

It would be nice if there is a way to detect whether a browser is
already running so that it doesn't startup another copy ... but I guess
running
another copy is also fine.

Ideally, this would be a platform-independent method.

        All pointer are really appreciated!

Sincerely,

Mona
