There is nothing currently that will allow you to do this, besides manually copy and pasting the animation data from max into your java3d application. Stay tuned for the next week or so because I'll be posting links to my 3dsmax exporter/java3d loader. It will include the keyframe functionality you need, amoung other things.
For the meantime, search the threads for quake3 loaders and such...
