Hi Everyone!

After two years evolution of commercial desktop VR application under Java3D,
I examine now the abilities and
possibilities to the construction of Virtual Environments by means of the
Java3D Render - API.

Since I am absolute newcomer on the field of the realization of Virtual
Environments, following points to
the commitment of Java3D interest me :

1) Augmented Reality - has somebody already experiences in the field
Augmented Reality(AR) collected with Java3D ?

2) CAVE - the construction of a CAVE with Java3D is on principle possible ?
   - I would build up a CAVE with a PC cluster and Java3D under Linux ?
Is this on principle possible ?

Furthermore it interests me whether possible it is to employ Java3D as
Rendering API in the field of the
realtime simulation ? I think there for example of an incorporation of
Mathengine www.mathengine.com
via JNI in Java3D.

As last one it interests me whether anybody already did performance -
investigations of Java3D on multiprocessor systems ?

I am thankful for every information and every reference !

Thank you !

Best regards,
Claus
