In fact I don't know when it will be available. But from experience I can tell you that SGI doesn't care of beta versions. They seem to be rather slow in porting Java and especially Java 3D to IRIX. If they don't change their minds, don't expect 1.3.1 to be available earlier than at least three months after 1.3 final is out. And I think this is an optimistic assumption.
