Hi, I just installed the new jdk 1.4 and it seems that the compiler can't

find the java3d classes anymore. I tried reinstalling the java3d distribution

but no effect. I'm using Forte for java. Does anyone knows how (or if) this

problem can be solved?

Look in the directory $JDK_HOME/jre/lib/ext and see if you have the files  j3dcore.jar, j3dutils.jar, j3daudio.jar, and vecmath.jar. If  not then your installation of java3d didn't happen in the correct distribution. I seem to remember reading in this group some people having problems directing the new installer to install in a specific directory. The old installer would allow you to select which Java distribution(s) you wanted Java3D installed in.
