BTW, why do you want to put everything under one shape ?

For me definition of shape3d is quite clear - one or more geometries
sharing same appearance. Different appearance - different shape3d. There
is no point in having many-to-many relationship in single shape - just
create another object. Same is true for transforming geometry inside
shape - use TransformGroup with a child.

I generally find java3d concepts very elegant. I would prefer a bit less
overloading, but this is personal preference :)
