I agree--a null renderer would be great offline, non GUI use of J3D~!

That would be awesome!! Would allow people to exeriment with different
rendering technologies, and open up alternate means of printing with vector
graphics...

Would also probably help with profiling with an implementation with
instrumentation added.... the possibilities go on :-)
