Hi Nitin,

Is it all with the QuadArrays. i have a very general implementation of a primitive sweeping surface algorithm. The only input it needs is a contour (rectangular crossection in the helix case; circular crossection in the coil case) and a set of frames. a frame is composed of the current position, orientation and scaling of the contour. For the creation of a helix i compose a curve from cubical bezier segments that run through the Calpha atom positions in the polypeptide chain. togheter with some additional information (Cbeta positions,...) and some tweaking of the tangents of the bezier curve i get a nice helix representation when feeding in frames at certain positions of the curve into the sweeping surface algorithm. the sweeping surface alg. produces Geometries of type TriangleStripArray and TriangleFanArray. cheers, Karsten > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Karsten Fries [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > > Sent: Friday, June 21, 2002 9:28 PM > > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Subject: [JAVA3D] Seen SRS 3D yet? > > > > > > Hi there, > > > > if you'd like to see a Java 3D based application, you can visit > > > > http://www.lionbioscience.com/solutions/srs/srs-3d > > > > there you can find some snapshots of the application i was > > developing for 1 1/2 > > years in LION bioscience.
