Subject: [JAVA3D] Java3d failing under JDK1.4, Windows NT

Hi all,

my software application (www.debrief.info) has used Java3d for around 18
months now, but this summer I did a ground-up rewrite of the 3d code to
provide
a more useful output. Also I've switched for JDK 1.4 (for the wonderful
mouse-wheel support).

My problem is that I'm experiencing the "Window-refresh" problem others
have
discussed in the newsgroup and on the net when running on my clients NT4
workstation. After opening my Frame containing a Canvas3d, the Swing
Canvas
in the other window fails to redraw properly. I can paint to it, and
either
diagonal lines appear across it, or large grey-areas appear in it. This
continues after the Canvas3d has been closed. Running the application
under
JDK1.3 is the only cure to this - but the application loses the
wheel-mouse
support.

The application runs perfectly under Windows XP, JDK1.4, Java3d 1.2
Beta.

Can anybody please give me some direction in the solution of this
problem?
My "2002" release of the software is stuck at Beta stage whilst I try to
overcome it.

Many thanks,

Ian Mayo
