Hi folks.... I left NCSA last July, and when I did, all the Java3D utilities and programs (NCSA Portfolio, Astro3D, etc) I had up on the site were still downloadable. Apparently the scripts that I set up for downloading have been deleted since I left, and therefore NCSA Portfolio and Astro3D are no longer available. I think that's unfortunate, because we still got about 10 downloads a day on that software. I can't rehost the software elsewhere because NCSA and the University of Illinois hold the copyright to the software.
I don't have any control over this since I'm no longer with NCSA or the University of Illinois. I have this e-mail account still as a courtesy to me, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll have it. I wasn't able to update NCSA Portfolio for quite a long time, which I regret. There were a lot more things that could have been done with it, but since my job changed quite a bit since the time we first wrote that software, we weren't able to update it. I hope that people found the software we wrote useful, and again, I'm sorry for any problems this has caused.
