As steve said, Portfolio is broken and also now dead (see his email
froma couple of days ago).

It loads DEM files, what else do you need to know? :) It conforms to the
standard Sun Loader interface and implied semantics. It does no
distortion correction, nor map of the earth curvature calcs - all data
is rendered as a flat grid. Also, it's not particularly thoroughly
tested. The stock USGS DEM files that I've found parse OK, but I haven't
tried to do any serious viewing of the data yet.

Earlier versions are, but the latest isn't. That's me being slack. I've
got a dev release of the code already tarballed, I just need to post it
to the j3d.org site.
