More and more of our customers are using WinXP and they are having
problems with Java 3D crashing. So far we've seen the DirectX version
of Java 3D gives much better frame rates on WinXP, but I'm at a loss as
to how to figure out how to get Java 3D to be stable and reliable on
WinXP (same code is very stable on Win98SE).

I've heard that WinXP SP1 is corrupting a huge percentage of users (just
Internet news reports - I don't know anyone personally that has had SP1
corrupt WinXP but none of the companies I provide support for has bought
any WinXP yet so I only have had direct contact with ONE WinXP machine
so far). Does anyone know if it's only SP1 that is causing problems?
Is Java 3D reliable with base WinXP?
