Hello all,

We've tested the applet successfully on Ie5.0, Ie6.02 Netscape 6.0 and Netscape 7.0 with java3d v1.3 and java1.4.0 plugin. We know people had trouble with these same browsers and plugins, we're not sure why. You might want to...

1) Check that java3d is installed in the same directory as the java1.4 plugin
2) Check that your browser uses the right plugin (which has j3d in its directory)

It is quite possible (thanx Florin) that javascript-DHTML is the problem, as it is not really cross-browser, and not even cross-browser-version. However, if this is the problem, every one using ie5.0+ and NN6.0+ should be happy.

Those of you who wish to experience our applet but can't get it to work can download the application version from http://cochise.mta.ac.il/~dune/download/bsl.zip (linked from our home page at http://cochise.mta.ac.il/~dune/ ).

Thank you all for the complements and general interest,

Asaf.

P.S, Did anyone say "Autoinstall java3d"?

It's not working on my machine too (I'm also having the latest plugins), but
I suspect it's related to the browser - javascript relation. Netscape 4.7 is
reporting a whole bunch of javascript errors, while ie 5.5 is silently
ignoring parts of it.
