Hi > Yes, but a max loader is still missing. Is there a certain reason for that??
I think the main reason for this, is that there is no documentation for it free available. And there are so many MAX-Format Versions now (R1,R2,R3,R4,R5) which all have some significant changes. Even when you look at most of the 3D-Fileformat-Converter out there (PolyTrans, DeepExploration) they all require that 3DStudio Max is installed. Which is a good sign that it is more difficult to convert. But yesterday I noticed a strange behaviour with StarFire's 3DS Loader, sometimes when an Object has more than one material three or four (surfaces) I get holes in the Geometry when showing the loaded 3DS file in J3D.
