Hey there, A Canvas3D cannot be opaque, regardless of overwriting the method. The problem is that it extends off of awt.Component which is not Swing, ie: Heavy.
Therefore, "Transparency" really isn't supported. You can; however, trick the end user into -thinking- it's transparent. What you can do is take a screen capture via the Robot class, and paint that image as the background on the canvas, then do all of your other painting on top of it. ~ddd -----Original Message----- From: R.
