Hi,
I was wondering if anyone experience flicker on the SWING side while
animating something in a Canvas3D window?
I can't narrow down the problem to what may be at fault...I have generated
an
install program with the Java3D virtual machine (VM). I run the code on one
computer and it runs perfect, while another computer causes the SWING
components
to flicker during an animation. Both machines are running Windows 2000
although
the one that works is only a Pentium 3 900Mhz, while the one that flickers
is a Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz. They all have z-clipping issues until I set the
colors to 32 bits. Another machines that is a Pen4 2.0Ghz has Java1.2 and
Java3d 1.3 installed and everything works fine.
Any ideas as to what may cause flickering? I know my program is badly coded
so that
may be the issue but if you know of any other reasons then please let me
know.
