[JAVA3D] Help me....

I am new to J3D API . I have installed DirectX version 9.0 as well as the Java 3D for DirectX 1.3.1 .I tried to run the demos.But the applets are not showing anything except a blank screen.There is no exception reports.Why is this so ? Has anybody experienced this before ? I have a Win 98 machine with Celeron 933 Mhz procesor and 128 MB RAM. I don't know about the Graphics Card .I reckon it must be a normal one.
