Yes you are right. But that is not a dedicated application. I just wrote a
very simple script (108 lines) which was interpreted by my app. There is no
logic behind. Spheres which rotates around a point with a specific speed and
orientation. It uses the default rotation behavior. When I'm turning off a
part of the scene graph, also the corresponding behavior is turned off. When
turning it back on, first occurs a rendering (at the last known position)
and after the rendering the behaviors are triggered (correctly as in the j3d
specification).

BTW, I've made another model which respects the real distances and
dimensions, with proportional speeds of the planets. With the exception of
Jupiter and Saturn, I had a hard time finding the other planets, with the
exception of Pluto, which was I was unable to find, even if I knew it's
orbit. I take my hat off to the astronomers who are making a great job.

Cheers,

Florin

I was, as many other :)

I got 83FPS with a P3-500 and a Geforce 2 titanium, running in 1600/1200
32bits 85hz with wait for vertical retrace enabled. I've not tried without
but I don't think I would get much more out of it ..

I've noticed that when you reenable some planet, it first appear where it
was last seen then teleport to where it must be.. should not it teleport
first then appear ? :)

Again me,

Was anybody curious enough to test my applet ? In my browser it's working,
but I wanted to know if there was somebody else able to view it.

Cheers,

Florin
