I'm doing picking using a combination of Locale.pickAllSorted() and
Shape3D.intersect(). I'm also using DistanceLOD for some of my geomtetry, so
they are crude approximations when at a distance.

Now, the picking appears to be using the currently active child of the Switch
associated with the DistanceLOD.

My question is, is there any way to alter this behaviour, so that I can do a
'high resolution' pick of an object even when it is being rendered crudely due
to from the ViewPlatform ?

(I can explain why I need to do this if anyone is interested).
