We are proud to announce the availability of the M7 Xj3D release. Highlights of this release include:
Navigation fix to stop mouse stutter
XML support for final ISO doctype, SF/MFString handling and meta tags.
The XML encoding is now ready for prime time. Lots of small
issues worked out since M6. Please continue to test and report any
bugs.
Block comments support in the VRML Classic Encoding
You can use these by enclosing code with #/* */#Transparency fix for multiple transparent objects. Experimental Sound and Movie Texture. Requires Java3D 1.3.1 beta. Initial drag sensor support. Touch Sensors on Cylinders fixed.

Future Plans
We are close to a 1.0 release of Xj3D. Final efforts will be to insure VRML97 compliance. We anticipate a 1.0 release in early April.
Elumens Dome support is finished but still needs release engineering. We expect to release this later in March.
Experimental support for some proposed X3D features is ongoing. Overlays, particle systems, 3D textures, environment mapping.
