It almost looks like you have two surface drawing in the same region. Different graphics cards will render coplanar surfaces somewhat differently depending on the depth buffer resolution and a number of other factors. Check your sphere geometries. My guess is that near the equator of the sphere you have overlapping triangles that probably share points. Inspect your triangle elements and ensure that you are not overlapping them.
