Is there a problem specifying colors thru' COLOR_3 in IndexedGeometryArray and specifying transparency thru' TranspAtt to get a transparent colored surface ? Switching off the U_C_I_O bit I think (after a lot of hunting down) seems to help.
I should probably check this out in a small testcase to be doubly sure. Let me know if a casual glance triggers anything !
