I am resending this since i got an "undelivered message from postfix".
Can SimpleUniverse.getPreferredConfiguration return NULL anytime? One of our customers is getting an
" ERROR: Canvas3D constructed with a null GraphicsConfiguration This will cause a NullPointerException in a subsequent release "
when a Canvas3D is constructed passing "SimpleUniverse.getPreferredConfiguration" as the argument.
The Java version is 1.4.1_03 and Java 3D is 1.3.1 running on Windows 2000 Professional.
