VRML allows a node to be added/removed at any time.  So all grouping
nodes have to be wrapped in a BranchGroup.  We also have to support
DEF/USE which allows sub-scenegraphs to be reused, hence the need for
SharedGroups and Links.  Definate mismatch between Java3D scenegraph and
VRML's.  It works, but its not optimal.
