Very strange... I will give more tips. Try each one with Java3D demos:
* set color depth to 32 bits; * use Java3D DirectX with -Dj3d.debug=true to see debug output for directX version; ex.: java -Dj3d.debug=true HelloUniverse
* try Java3D OpenGL; * unistall, reboot (!) and install (or reinstall) new video card drivers;
btw , what is your video card ??

I was using directx 9.0a... Microsoft did not have 8.1a, but I did install 8.1 No change.. program runs fine but my object doesn't show up. I have tried other j3d progs all same thing. Video card is configured and working properly... 16bit color, proper drivers, etc. Any other ideas? OS is Win98.
From: Alessandro borges <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 1) check video card drivers. 2) If you are using J3D DirectX version, use DirectX 8.1a.
