Hi Flavius,
The vector is pointing from anywhere you like - it doesn't say in itself. Just like 5 meters can be measured anywhere you like. If you need a starting position you must use a Point3f in addition to that vector. Of course there are many instances where the vector is implicitly referencing the origin, but there are probably just as many cases where it's some other point.
Maybe if you explain more about what you're trying to achieve, we can take it from there. It's usually easier to learn by example.

So let me see if I got this right...when you create a new vector with the values (x,y,z), it's basically an arrow pointing from the origin to those coordinates? Or from where is that vector/arrow pointing?
