Since i am looking for something similar to your work, i would like to tell you something about .stl file ( stereolitheographic file) .
This stl file is a type of file format used by CAD and Pro-E mechanical designers .
Since now a days work is going on to use JAVA 3D in the filed of mechanics , i would like to suggest you to include this file loader too by which your application can be used by various persons.
