It appears that the j3d.org site posted the information about the team getting "sacked". Don't know the source of that information. However, Kevin (from Sun) has posted that the J3D team from Sun will be at JavaOne and will be hosting a BOF and manning a booth. So, it seems like the info on j3d.org is bad and should be removed to prevent spreading further FUD.
