Here is apple's Java3D and JAI link:

The situation is quite opposite. Apple doesn't support JOGL but Java3D. JOGL was 
ported to Apple by the JOGL
community but not supported directly by Apple.

so java3d suppot Mac OS X.But how about the other platform such as  Solaris, AIX?
