another solution could be - depending of your models and maybe kind of animation- the using of the MDL-Script for Im-Exporting from 3dsMax see [ http://www.cadalyst.net/extras/plugins/MaxImport/Max5/MDLPluginSuite1.0.zip] a general plugin site for 3ds-max is : http://www.cadalyst.net/extras/plugins/Importmax5.html and then you could use the loader written by Artur Biesiadowski. the projectsite is: http://nwn-j3d.sourceforge.net/ the loader work well with j3d 1.3 (including the show of the first animation node!) but sad but true using j3d 1.3.1 does not support the animation of the model. I hope to be able, to start these days a workarround how to solve this... then artur 'll get this, to update his software.
the software is worth to try out ! but I didn't try to model/animating anything with 3dsMax and then used the exporter, currently I just using some of the free models existing...loads of beasts but also some animal-models best regards rolf

Hi All,
Does anyone know what are the tools that can generate .LWS (LightWave) 3D files? I am getting some problems with animations and the 3DS Loaders. Maybe using lightwave files and tools, the problems become smaller. Also a plugin to 3DS max to export the 3D models for .lws can solve the problem.
Thanks
Flavio
PS -> It doesn't have to be free.
