I think java3d-interest@java.sun.com is the old mailing list, and [EMAIL PROTECTED] is the new one. But there are still people using the old mailing list, so it hasn't been removed for now.
AFAIK, the team working on Java3D is only reading the posts from the new list, I had received a mail about that, I wanted to quote it in this mail, but I can't find it anymore.
