Is it possible, to pause the renderer while setting Transformgroups? Racing game: A ball runs on a track, the view follows... I have four Transformgroups (Position, Tilt, Turn, Roll) for the ball and three (Position, Tilt, Turn) for the view. I calculate all new positions and angels, then I set the Transformgroups. The problem is, that sometimes there is a short flicker. Depending on the sequence I am updateing the Transformgroups, the ball or the view makes a short stop. I think this happens exactly then, if the garbage collector starts his work while updateing the Transformgroups. The renderer then displays the new position, etc. of the ball, but it takes a while, until the view is updated and this causes the flicker. Question: Is it possible to pause the renderer, then set the Transform3Ds to more then one Transformgroup (the renderer does nothing) and then tell the renderer to continue (and update the display)?
