As for the moment, it still seems to be (as you so nicely phrase it)
practically impossible. A workaround would be to store your objects in
some serializable internal representation that could be translated to
Java3D for the purpose of visualization when objects are derserialized.

I would also like it very much to be able to make real j3d-Beans, because this 
would solve a LOT of problems I am having with my still-going simulation-
tool project. BTW, has anybody found the time and strength to implement
boolean operations on J3D objects already?
