An ImmersaDesk is basically a back-lit projection display connected to a computer with 
CrystalEyes 3D glasses emitter, the Flock of Birds, and a 3D
wand (at least that's the config around here).   Most of the time you'll see SGI 
hooked into this configuration, but my group has given public demos
of an ImmersaDesk being driven by a Solaris box running Java 3D in stereo and by a 
Windows NT box with the Flock and wand.
