Fellow readers,
My May VRNews Tech Review column will be covering voice control and
synthesis technologies for virtual environments. With JMF there appear to
be some good hooks for doing this in java3d. Has anyone been working in
this area?
I would like to hear about any work in-progress, etc. info for publication
is best, but i can also listen off the record.
Other upcoming columns include network VR (writing it this weekend), Motion
tracking and capture tech (april issue), 3D audio (june), authoring
toolkits (july), immersive projection displays (aug/sept), motion platforms
(oct), navigation and gestural devices (nov), head mounted displays (dec).
