[java3d] picking

Does anyone know how to get the position of a mouse click from a textured
object?  I have a map operation and I want to find the position of the click
x,y cast onto the map surface (a textured square) in reference to the map
surface's transform3D.

Any help or ideas where to look would be appreciated.
