Yes, I also have this problem. I have been looking into this off and on for
a while and think it is probably related to this bug:
- Java 3D classes and threads are not cleaned up and cannot be unloaded
(from the 1.1.1 release notes)
I suspect that this prevents the Plugin from performing a clean exit and
hence IE and Netscape never die (as they still have threads running).
Not exactly very satisfactory for our clients! If anyone knows a work around
for this I'd give my hind teeth to hear of it.

Yes! I notice this as well with IE - the IEXPLORE processes never close.
I think there's a good chance it's solely the fault of the plug-in. On
netscape it seems the plug-in can cause GPFs.
