You should not need to sign a JAR file for a simple example such as
HelloUniverse. Signed JARs are only necessary is you require access to
resources such as local files or files outside your codebase. You must also
set up a security policy for signed JARs to work.
We have some notes on these issues:

Subject: [java3d] Java3D In Netscape
Dear All,
I assume that people must have the Java3D in Netscape problem sorted since
no-one is asking anymore. Well I tried to get HelloUniverse going in
Netscape by
1. Installing JDK1.2
2. Installing the JRE
3. JAR the HelloUniverse.class
4. Sign the JAR
5. Convert the HelloUniverse.html file
6. Run it
I get a java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no J3D in java.library.path
exception!!
So I added the JRE\LIB to my classpath and that filed too!! What is going on
with all this?
Any help appreciated

By the way, I just released a fully-featured Molecular Viewer at
