Java 3D classes (core and utility) can be downloaded.

you have a choice:
ZIP file for Windows (~1.2 MB)
Compressed TAR file (for UNIX�) (~1.8 MB)
I have not used the TAR file, but the ZIP file contains all the
HTML documentation files.
