This message is in follow up to a prior discussion on the list where a few of us found web browser proceses wouldn't die after java3d was run in an applet under Internet explorer and possibly Netscape. Well, I believe I have found a workaround... After installing Service Pack 5 on an NT 4.0 workstation, the IEXPLORE.EXE processes now appear to die after the web browser is closed afte running a java3d applet. Looks like it wasn't a java3d or sun plug-in bug after all! So folks, if you have NT 4, Try installing SP5 (available from microsoft web site) and see if that helps. As for Win '95 machines, I have no idea how to work around the extra-processes bug. If anyone does find a solution would you kindly let the list know - Thanks!
