I am still investigating the problems and about to supply more information
to Sun.
It looks as if the problems started when the drivers for the TNT cards
were upgraded and more OpenGL extensions were added. This would mean
the problems are either in Sun's use of these extensions or in Nvidia's
implementation of the extensions.
Which TNT graphics adapter are you using ? Old drivers are available
for the Diamond Viper 550 and the STB Velocity 4400 which are slower but
run the Java3D examples OK.
